Francisco "Pancho" Salazar, age 83, and Pauline Rosella Valdez Salazar, age 77, met their Lord and Savior on December 17, 2025 and December 11, 2025, respectively.

Pancho was born on April 26, 1942 in Maes, NM to Merejildo Salazar and Delfinia Salazar.

Pauline was born on April 11, 1948 in Ojo Caliente, NM to José Ignacio Valdez and Stella Valdez.

Pancho served in the Army as a Transportation Supply and Parts Specialist, was a drummer, and settled on barbering until he retired. He loved his Las Vegas community and helped anyone and everyone whom he encountered.

Pauline had her Master's Degree in Education and worked for many schools in the Las Vegas School District for 27 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, aunt, and sister who loved and served her family throughout her life.

They are survived by their children Frank Salazar Jr, Jolene Howells (Jason), Natalie Saxton (Quincy), and Michaela Salazar. Grandchildren: Candice French, Dyani Martinez, Amelia Salazar, Nora Howells, Aidan Howells, Paulina Howells, Qmari Saxton, and Naya Saxton. Great Grandchildren: Faith, Gracee, Aaliyah, Dezirae, Donovan, Jordan, and Julian. Pancho was also survived by his nephew Delfino Salazar who was like a son to him.

Pancho and Pauline will be remembered for their love, generosity, and unwavering support of their family.

Rosary service will be held on Friday, December 26, 2025 at 6:00 PM. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Both services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM. They will be buried with the Salazar family in Los Vigiles Cemetery after mass. The services will be livestreamed and available for viewing at www.oloslasvegas.org. Pallbearers will be Jason Howells, Graham Lynch, Robert Archuleta, Charles Gallegos, Shawn Gallegos, Aidan Howells, Isaac Valdez, Charles Martinez, Michael Valdez, Greg Valdez, Corey Anderson, Joseph Zagar.
