Obituary

Gene "Geno" Gonzales age 21, was called home to be with the Lord on March 7, 2026. He was born to Gene L. Gonzales Jr. and Andrea Leyba on August 16, 2004, in Las Vegas, NM.

Geno lived a life full of energy, adventure, and heart. Though his time here was far too short, the way he lived each day left a lasting impression on everyone who knew and loved him.Geno had a deep passion for sports and was known by friends and family as an NFL encyclopedia-able to recall plays, players, and statistics with ease. Whether he was watching a game, talking football, or debating his favorite team, his enthusiasm was contagious. He loved the outdoors and felt most at home surrounded by nature. Fishing trips, camping under the stars, and snowboarding down the snowy mountains were some of the moments that brought him the greatest joy. Geno also had a fearless spirit that showed in his love for bull riding and his willingness to chase adrenaline and adventure wherever he could find it. But more than anything, Geno loved living life to the fullest and loved his family deeply. He filled every room with laughter, loved to dance, and had a way of bringing people together with his vibrant personality and big heart. His smile, humor, and adventurous soul will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him. Geno's life reminds us to embrace each day, cherish the outdoors, laugh often, and love deeply. Though he is gone far too soon, his spirit lives on in the memories, stories, and love shared by his family and friends. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
