George Dearinger, of Holman, NM, passed away peacefully at home on October 29, 2025 at the age of 89. Born on March 19, 1936, in Kansas City, MO, to John and Edna Dearinger, George lived a full and vibrant life.

In his earlier years, George served in the Coast Guard 20+ years, where he bravely served his country with honor. George raised his two children, Mike and Lori in Seattle, WA. George later met his spouse Ethel in 1975, and got married in 1980. Together they have shared a wonderful 50 years together, making special and wonderful memories throughout the years.

George moved to Holman, NM in 1985, with his wife Ethel and his Step-sons Richard and Vernon Davis. George loved traveling to different states with his wife Ethel in their RV, to see their grandkids and family. George was a dedicated member and treasurer of the El Rito Presbyterian Church in Chacon, NM.

George is preceded in death by his parents John and Edna Dearinger, his daughter Lori Gordon, his step-son Richard Davis, his brother-in-law Nat Herrera, and his mother and father-in-law Annie and Aurelio Herrera.

George is survived by his beloved wife, Ethel; his son Mike Dearinger (Denise); his stepson Vernon Davis; his grandchildren Chantel Davis (Robert), Sylvia Davis, Felicia Davis, Vernon Davis Jr., Ruby Davis, Nichole Gordon, Josh Gordon, Melissa Dearinger, Jeff Dearinger; and numerous great grandchildren; brother in laws: Emerson Herrera (Lina), Nemrod Herrera (Gloria), Cornie (Air); sister in laws: Deckie (Al), Eileen Armijo, Edna Jerro, Demi Archuleta (Pres), Lisa Montano, and Kittie (Lori).

Memorial service will be held on November 10, 2025 at 10am at El Rito Presbyterian Church of Chacon, with the interment to follow at El Rito Presbyterian Cemetery.

A special thank you to his hospice nurse Deborah from Anvoi Hospice, for all her care and compassion in George's final days. George will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially by his wife Ethel.
