Gloria J. Romero, age 74, of Las Vegas, NM, was called home to our Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, July 16th, 2025, from her home as she was surrounded by her loving family. Gloria was born on April 6th, 1951, in Guadalupita, NM, to Luis Duran and Lourdes Montoya.

Gloria was a lifelong resident of Las Vegas and was known for her kind heart and willingness to help others in her community. Throughout her career she enjoyed public relations and was retired from El Centro Family Health Center where she served as a pharmacy technician. She had a passion for reading and had read every Danielle Steele and Steven King novel and countless other favorites. Gloria was the heart of her family, a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt, and sister.

Gloria is preceded in death by her mother, Lourdes Connie Montoya; father, Luis Duran; brother, Alvin Duran; Sister Christine Hammett and niece Olivia Gonzales.

Gloria is survived by her 5 children, Carlos "CJ" Ciddio (Shawna), Carla Romero (James), Richard Romero, Bernabe "BJ" Romero (Leah), and Ricco Romero (Anna). Brothers, Marvin Duran (Sandra), Ernest Duran (Lucy) and Sister-in-law Isabel Duran. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joshua Ciddio, Jesse Ciddio, Jayme Cordova, Alyiah Romero, Avery Romero, Amaya Ortiz, Isaiah Ortiz, Jeslyn Ortiz, Julian Romero, and her great grandson Finn Ciddio. Immediate nephews and nieces, Shawn Duran, Brianna Duran, Vanessa Duran, Julian Duran, Diana Rodriguez, Lori Baca, Christopher Montoya and Jessica Harrell.

A celebration of life will be held at Rogers Mortuary on Friday, August 1st at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at the Saint Anthony's Cemetery.

Her legacy of compassion, family devotion, and strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
