Henry Casias Jr.

After a life well lived, Henry Casias, 76, passed away peacefully at his home in Rainsville, New Mexico, on July 23, 2026.

Henry was born on June 11, 1950, in Rainsville, New Mexico, where he spent most of his life. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, earning the honorable rank of Lance Corporal. Later in life, he worked as a gold miner in numerous locations. Henry enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, being outdoors, fixing things, farming, and many other hobbies. He was a hardworking, kind, and loving man whose presence brought joy to everyone around him. Heaven truly gained an angel.

Henry is survived by his loving wife, Della Casias; his daughter, Karen Lopez, and son-in-law, Iginio Lopez; his son, Michael Casias; his grandchildren, Maricella Lopez, Leonandro Lopez, and Adrianna Lopez; and his best friends, Pete Martinez and Douglas Velarde.

Henry’s kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family will always be remembered. His legacy will live on through the many lives he touched and the memories he leaves behind.

Rosary will be conducted at St. Gertrude Catholic Church at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2026. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 3, 2026, at St. Gertrude Catholic Church, burial of cremains will be at the Rainsville Cemetery with full Military honors.
