Herman Benavidez, 87 a resident of San Juan, N.M. was called home by the lord on May 24, 2025.
Herman was born in San Juan, N.M. to Simone Benavidez and Rosaito Jiron
He was preceded in death by his father Simone; mother Rosaito; daughter Angela; his loving wife Alice; his 4 sisters; and his one brother.
He is survived by his sons Clarence Benavidez; Nick (Lorraine) grandkids, Nick Jr., Thomas and Milton; daughter Norma (Tony) grandchildren Andrew and Jason; daughter Debbie (Peter) grandkids Sheryl and Loren; Herman Jr. (Annette) grandkids Jude and Adina, Julian, and Chasity; son Leonard (Donna) grandkids Vanessa, Edward, and Angelo; Sister Elise; Brother Simone; and many great grandchildren.
Herman was a very hard worker, his father passed away when he was only 14 years old and he was in the 8th grade. Herman quit school to help his mother provide for his siblings. Since the age of 14 he worked and always was a provider he married the love of his life Alice, they started their family together and raised 6 children together, they lived in many places and he loved to travel. Herman was a wonderful father and grandfather anytime any one needed him he was always there he loved staying busy he was always doing something outside in his yard with his wife, kids, grandkids and great grandkids. Herman loved to go fishing, horseback riding, taking drives, visiting with friends and family. Herman lived for his wife he loved doing anything that made her happy they were the description of a loving couple. There wasn't anything he would not do for her. Herman loved building things and doing projects around the house. Herman went to many places and traveled a lot throughout his life. Herman was a very happy and a very easy man to please. Family meant everything to him. Herman was a very strong man he didn't let anything hold him back there was nothing that could stop him from doing the things he loved. He left an impact on many and he showed many of his family what a loving caring man should be. Herman loved dancing and he also loved listening to music, he loved going to church and watching Sports.
We would like to thank all the family and friends, Rogers Mortuary, Pam's flowers, San Miguel del Vado Church, San Juan (escuelita) for all their help during this difficult time.
Viewing, will start at 8am Rosary, at 9:30am and Mass to follow on Friday May 30, 2025 in San Miguel del Vado church in San Miguel, NM. Interment will follow at the San Juan Cemetery in San Juan, NM with the following serving Pallbearers Andrew, Nick Jr, Edward, Jude, Joaquin, Jonathan Jr. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers Jason, Milton, Thomas, Angelo, Harmony, John Jr, Nevaeh.
