Irene Romero

Irene Romero passed away on Friday July 2, 2022.

She was born in Springer, NM on June 29, 1980 to Benjamin Romero and Loretta Branchal. She was preceded in death by her father Benjamin Romero, paternal grandparents Viola and Ben Romero, her uncle Andy Romero, her auntie Sadie Romero, cousin Jeffrey Romero, Granddaughter Annalise Romero, niece Daniela Lopez, uncle Celestino Branchal, and brother in law Angelo M. Martinez.

She is survived by her children Shantelle Romero, Larae Romero Vasquez, Josiah Romero all of Wagon Mound, her mother Loretta Branchal , step-father Valentine Martinez, her siblings Anita Branchal (Johnny), Karen Romero (Raymond), Michael Romero (Sara), Rita Armijo (Benito), Valerie Lopez (Daniel), Amanda Martinez (Santiago) all of Wagon Mound, NM, Debbie Romero (Sapello, NM), maternal grandmother Cleotilda Peralta (Ocate, NM), uncle Richard Peralta (Dolores) Ocate, NM, Josie Peralta (Orlando) Ocate, NM, Fernando Branchal (Pita), of Ocate, NM, Dolores Baca (Mike) of Las Vegas, NM, Joe Branchal (Joyce) of Ocate, NM, Sorida Branchal (Salvador) of Las Vegas, NM, Joseph Romero of Ocate, NM, Louise Romero (Tim) of Las Vegas, NM, Robert Romero (Patricia) of Ocate, NM, Jimmy Romero (Rose) of Ocate, NM, Patsy Romero (Victor) of Ocate, NM, Betty Romero of Albuquerque, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Irene enjoyed spending time at family events, cruising, going to the park with her friends and family. She loved taking care of her plants and lawn. She spent a tremendous amount of time caring for others in her family, her friends and people in her community. She never knew a stranger.  Irene will be remembered as a loving caring person and her hair being in a bun.

Rosary will be recited on Friday July 15, 2022 at 7 p.m. at the Santa Clara Church in Wagon Mound, NM.

Funeral Mass will be conducted on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 10 a.m. at the Santa Clara Church In Wagon Mound, NM.

Interment will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery in Wagon Mound, NM with the following serving as pallbearers Michael Romero, Joseph Romero, Max Jimenez Jr., Benito Armijo, Christopher Romero, Marissa Mendoza, Benjamin Romero, Zeke Trujillo. Honorary Pallbearers will be Loraina Martinez, Marisa Martinez, and all her nieces and nephews.
