Isabel Baca a resident of El Ancon, NM passed away peacefully, on February 28, 2022 after an extended illness surrounded by her family.

She was born on June 16, 1935 to Antonio Chavez and Dominica Sanchez Chavez.

She was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother and friend. Her guidance, kindness, friendship, prayers and blessings will be missed by all.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Cleofes Baca; sons: Cleofes Baca Jr., Richard Baca and a son who lived 5 days; brothers: Miguel Chavez and Baudillio Chavez; sister: Agnes Montoya; sisters-in-law: Betty Chavez and Rosabelle Chavez; parents: Antonio and Dominica Chavez.

Isabel is survived by her son: Charlie (Georgia) of San Jose, NM; daughters: Helen Baca (Johnny Padilla) of Ifield, NM, Ramona Baca (Rhonda) of El Ancon, NM and Mabel Romero (Ray) of Albuquerque, NM; 11 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; brothers: Tony Chavez Jr. of San Juan, NM and Elfie Chavez (Reina) of Las Vegas, NM; numerous: nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Rosary service will be on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 7:00pm at San Miguel del Vado Church in San Miguel, NM.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 10:00am at San Miguel Church with Father Moses Nwankwo as celebrant.

Interment will follow at San Jose Cemetery in San Jose, NM with the following serving as Pallberars Isaac Baca, Johntay Padilla, Jeremy Romero, Richie Baca, Jennifer Padilla and Lucia Gomez- Vaughan. Honorary Pallberars will be Luke Garcia, Patrick Chavez, Jimmy Vaughan and Joshua Madrid.

Reception will follow at New Soul (Church on the hill) in Coruco, NM.
