Jane (Juana) Maria Montoya, 92 of Los Montoyas broke away from her earthly bonds to meet our Lord and her beloved husband on December 18, 2024. She passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family and the most wonderful caretakers at Meadows Ponderosa Nursing Home. Jane was born on March 25, 1932, in Arroyo Seco, NM to the late Luciano and Lugarda Garcia.

At the age of 16, she met the love of her life David Montoya and were united in marriage on June 4, 1948. Our mom did not work in the working industry, but she had the most challenging job ever. She began the arduous task of having a total of 9 children. She spent the remainder of her life raising and being the absolute best mother/grandmother in the whole world to each of her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting and hosting family gatherings such as Good Friday, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. She was a Socia of San Antonio De Pauda of Los Montoyas. While she will be sadly missed by all who loved her, she is now in peace and has been rejoined with her beloved husband in heaven. So, we shed tears of joy that at last she is where she belongs.

Jane is preceded in death by her parents, husband: David Montoya, granddaughters: Zodyann and Judyann Montoya, grandson: Julian J. Sisneros, brother-in-law who was like a son: Tony Montoya, and sisters: Eralia and Dilia.

She is survived by her children: Lugarda Allemand (Archie) from Las Vegas, Lucille Paschal (Bill) from Santa Fe, Reyes Montoya from Los Montoyas, Clara Montoya from Tecolote, Rebecca Gomez (Salamon) from Sandia Park, Fred Montoya (Marcella) from Los Montoyas, Rita Sisneros (Jimmy) from Tecolote, David Montoya II (Rosanna) from Los Montoyas, Kathy Gallegos (Tony) from Española, 13 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, brother Abel Garcia, sister Clorinda Baca, and numerous half brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Rosary service will be recited on Friday December 27, 2024 at 6pm. The funeral services will be celebrated on Saturday December 28, 2024 at 10am with both services to be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish in Las Vegas, NM, with Father Adrian Sisneros as celebrant. Burial will follow at the San Antonio De Pauda Cemetery at Los Montoyas. Pallbearers are her grandsons: Archie & Carlos Allemand, Robert Paschal, Chris Montoya, Ernesto Roybal, Issac & Freddy Montoya, Andrew Sisneros and David III Montoya.
