Jane F.
Quintana
April 6, 1950 – January 16, 2026
We honor and celebrate the life of Jane F. Quintana, our beloved matriarch and the heart of our family, who peacefully entered eternal rest surrounded by those she loved. She was welcomed into God's eternal peace, leaving behind a legacy of faith, strength, and unconditional love.
Jane was born on April 6, 1950, in Las Vegas, New Mexico, to Juan and Mary Frances Crespin. She is preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather who raised and loved her as his own; and several beloved family members, including sister Dora Garcia, her brother Billy Crespin, nephews, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, and in-laws who cherished her deeply.
On April 17, 1971, Jane married the love of her life, Napoleon "Nappy" F. Quintana, and together they built a home rooted in devotion, family, and unwavering commitment. Jane retired from New Mexico Highlands University in 2010, after years of dedicated service.
Jane had a beautiful voice and a gift for sharing it. She blessed her community through music as a member of the church choir and the NMHU choir. Her signature song was "Ave Maria," which she lovingly sang a cappella at rosaries, a sacred expression of her deep faith and devotion that brought comfort and peace to all who heard it.
Jane is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Napoleon "Nappy" Quintana; her daughters Brenda (John) and Jennifer (Marty); and her beloved grandchildren: Amber (Mo), Tabitha (John), Toby James (Olivia), Juan (Britney), Josh, and Jonathan. She is also survived by her treasured great-grandchildren: Kasey, Ryot, Augustus, Madeline, Elijah, and a great-grandbaby on the way. She is also survived by her sister Elaine (Benny) and brother-in-law Leroy; her sisters and brother-in-laws Rose, Pam and Joseph (Virginia), along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family whom she loved dearly.
Jane is lovingly remembered by extended family and cherished friends, including Carolina, Delicia, Horace, Chris, Mary and Manuel Tarango, and so many others whose lives were touched by her kindness.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and staff at St. Vincent Hospital and AMG Specialty Hospital, with special thanks to her nurse, Aby Gutierrez, all physicians and staff who cared for her with compassion.
