Jesse Vigil was a lifelong resident of Holman, New Mexico. He was born September 3, 1951, to the late Livorio Vigil and Regina Lovato-Vigil. He graduated from Mora High School. Jesse Married his wife of 44 years, Lorraine, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jesse spent his life hunting, fishing, spending time with family, passing time at the casinos, and spending his time with the love of his life Lorraine.

Jesse is preceded in death by his parents Livorio and Regina Vigil, as well as his brother Eddie Vigil.

He is survived by his wife Lorraine Vigil, daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Clifford Gutierrez, son Joseph Vigil and Morgan Velarde, grand children, Danielle Gutierrez and Bryan Trujillo, Jasmine Vigil, Joseph Vigil, Sophia Vigil, Chene Gutierrez, and Jesse Vigil, great-granddaughter Alyciana, as well as many family members and friends.

A rosary will take place at the St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Mora, New Mexico, on February 29, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a mass of Christian Burial. He will be laid to rest at the San Isidro Cemetery in Holman, New Mexico with the following serving as Pallbearers; Eddie Vigil, Jr., Clifford Gutierrez, Bryan Trujillo, Joseph Vigil, Jr., Joseph Vigil, Jesse Carlos Vigil, and Pepito Lovato. Honorary Pallbearers; Danielle Gutierrez, Chene Gutierrez, Ashlyn Romero, Leo Romero,  Sophia Vigil, and Jasmine Vigil.
