Joann Catherine Lucero, age 55, went home to rest with our dear Lord and Savior on June 18, 2023 and was reunited with her beloved brother Richard Estrada. She was born in Las Vegas, New Mexico on April 13, 1968, to Rita Solano Martinez.

Joann was a very private person and was dearly loved by all her family and friends. She was a good, caring, and selfless individual. She was the eldest daughter of 4 children, and was her mother's right hand. Joann took care of her special needs aunt and elderly grandmother, until her grandmother's death in 2022 but, continued to care for her aunt. Joann worked for two local Home Health Agencies and Medical Billing at La Vida Health Services.

Joann is preceded in death by her beloved brother Richard Estrada, grandparents Jose and Senobia Solano, Stepfather Gerald Martinez, and maternal cousins Albert Michael and Eric Solano.

Joann is survived by her mother Rita Martinez, her pride and joy and only son Pete Urioste and wife Renee, brother Mark Estrada and sister Evelyn Estrada-Cobos, four grandchildren Claire, Noah, Aubrey, and Olivia Urioste who lovingly called her "Maz", nephew's Justin and Gabriel Estrada, Valentino and Jevon Cobos, and great nephew Jusiah Estrada, aunts Barbara Garduno, Victoria Vigil, Annabelle Solano, Margaret Carlson (Ken), and Donna Parson, uncles Albert Solano (Connie), Earnest Solano (Lorraine), and Frank Solano. There were important people who were close to Joann's heart including: her closest cousins Antoinette Solano, Stephanie Baldonado, and Cindy Romero, friend Leonore Dominguez, family friend Gerald Trujillo, lifelong friend and confidant Jenette Lujan.

Rosary Services are scheduled for Monday, June 26, 2023 at 7:00PM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 403 Valencia St., Las Vegas, NM 87701. Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following morning, June 27, 2023 at 9:00AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Burial will take place immediately after at Saint Anthony's Cemetery 8th Street extension in Las Vegas, NM. Pallbearers include Pete Urioste, Mark, Justin and Gabriel Estrada, Valentino and Jevon Cobos.
