John Daniel Barela, passed February 14, 2025 in Albuquerque, NM

He was born on December 23, 1958 in Santa Fe, NM.

Survived by his brother Jose Barela, Son Bryan and grandson Landon

Nieces and nephews Maria, Adri, Marcos, and Jacob Barela, Bobby Strait and  Megan Spinn, Regina Catanach, Tracy Jenee, John, Lily, Jake, Sophie Grace, Anthony, and Lacy Arguello. Special cousin Patricia Kehler, and other cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents Jose and Maria Candelaria Barela, sister Barbara Barela, Aunt Madge Kwasek, and special cousin Donald Kwasek.

He grew up in Santa Fe, NM and was very athletic in high school. He attended job corp in Albuquerque then eventually moved to Phoenix, AZ where he spent most of his life. He enjoyed golfing and bicycling. He loved the San Francisco 49ers. He had a passion for music and especially loved The Rolling Stones and U2. He had a great rocker sense of style.

We'll miss you uncle Danny and always remember your unforgettable laugh.

Cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place at a later date.
