John R. Brito, aged 55, a lifetime resident of Las Vegas,NM passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at his home.
He was born on August 5 th 1966 to Abran and Rosalina Brito in Las Vegas, NM.
John used to love to do woodwork. He also loved to be outdoors fishing, working, and taking care of his mini zoo he had for his grandkids. He loved spending time with his grandkids. Before John became disabled he worked as wild land forest Firefighter State and Federal. He also worked for LORAM Railways and various construction companies. In his younger days he in enjoyed riding a motorcycle and serving as alter server at Our Lady of Sorrows Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Bernice Roybal and Lillian Martinez; brothers: Abran Daniel Brito, Ray Brito and Carlos Brito; god mother: Angie Baca; nieces: Regina Roybal and Bernadette Roybal; nephew: David Roybal.
John is survived by his wife Kathie Fernandez of the family home; daughters: Glenda Fernandez (Albino) of Sapello, NM and Briana Brito of the family home; grandchildren: Kayla Rose (Vic), Amari, Alazai, Efraim and A'kaies; brother: Arturo Brito of Las Vegas,NM; sisters: Mela Padilla (Benjamin), Dorothy Baca (Dale) and Alice Brito all of Las Vegas, NM; brother's-in-law: Mark Fernandez (Jackie) of Las Vegas, NM and Gene Roybal (Helen) of Albuquerque, NM; numerous: ;nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 9:00am at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas, NM with Father George V. Salazar as celebrant.
Interment will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery with the following serving as Pallbearers Jayden Padilla, Mateo Salazar, Miranda Salazar, Arturo Brito, Albino Fernandez, Daniel Brito, Victoria Ortega, and Filbert Lopez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Anthony Barela, all his grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
