It is with great sadness we announce John Pete Larson 84, of Las Vegas N.M. born on Aug. 13, 1940, passed away on Oct. 2, 2024 at his home surrounded by family.
John was born on Aug. 13, 1940, to Manuel and Genevieve Larson. He became a father to a son and was married at a young age. He decided to join the military Army National Guard and later went on to have two daughters. After serving in the military he began his career in the bartending business starting as a bartender at the S&S later becoming co-owner and then owner of his own business The Old Casino Bar. After leaving the bar business he staring working at Wal-Mart and eventually retired, something none of us thought he would ever do. He loved spending time with family and landscaping his own private oasis in his yard which he did frequently and up until the age of 84. He enjoyed music at the park on Friday nights and during Fiesta time, doing woodwork, going to Hobby Lobby, and the casino always stopping to socialize with friends and family along the way.
John is preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Genevieve Larson.
He is survived by his children David Larson, Barbara Martinez and husband Steven, Patricia Baca and Husband Fidel Sr. Grand children Jennifer Larson, Travis Larson (April Maes) Justin Larson, Matthew Lucero, Brandi Baca, Jessica Baca (Devin) Fidel Baca Jr. (Sara). Great grandchildren Iliana , Nevaeha Larson, Marivella Jaramillo, Isaiah, Justin, Genisis, Josiah, Isaac, Elijah Larson, David, Emma, Ethan, Jesus, Julian, Abree Baca. Siblings Josephine (Levinio) Montoya, Benito (Lupe) Larson. Along with many nieces, nephews and countless friends.
We will always carry your memory in our hearts.
Private services will be held.
