Johnnie Simoni, 44, joined the Lord May 12, 2022. He was born and raised in Santa Fe, NM.

He was an inspiration to many and had a soul with so much love to give. He loved fishing, dancing, hiking, painting, and trains. But, above all, he loved his family.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Johnnie and Helen Simoni.

He is survived by his mother and father, Richard and Pauline Vargas, his sisters: Vanessa Vigil (Craig), Josephine Armijo (Jovan), Anita Vargas (John); brothers: Paul Vargas (Araceli), Alan Vargas, Jerry Vargas, Max Vargas (Maria); niece and nephew Caeli and Legend Armijo.

Pallbearers will include Paul Vargas, Alan Vargas, Jerry Vargas, Max Vargas, Michael Vargas, Jovan Armijo with Caeli and Legend serving as escorts.

"I think people who don't have conflict in their lives are just trying to please people and are not really living life to the fullest."

The viewing and services are scheduled for 9:00AM on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at San Isidro Church on Paseo Mel Senaida Rd, Santa Fe, NM. Rosary begins at 9:30 a.m. followed immediately after by a funeral mass with Fr. Jose Herrera as celebrant. Interment will follow mass at Cemeterio de Agua Fria in Santa Fe, NM.
