Obituary

Jose "Joe" Lujan entered eternal rest on July 17, 2025, reuniting with his wife Bella and his sons Joseph and Jerry Lujan who he missed dearly.

Joe was born on November 30, 1947 to Samuel and Margarita Lujan. He was married to the love of his life, Isabel "Bella" Lujan. Together they raised two sons, Joseph and Jerry.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Bella (December 2024) and his sons Joseph (2020), and Jerry (2001).

Joe was an Army Veteran, who was proud to have served our country. He retired from United Parcel Service (UPS) after 23 years of dedicated service. Joe was truly one of a kind, he loved to gamble and visit the casino. He deeply cherished time spent with family and friends and enjoyed spending time in his legendary garage-fixing things, tinkering with gadgets, exploring his many treasures and playing a good game of pool.

Joe is survived by his grandchildren Maricela (Luke) and Zacarias Lujan and his cherished great-granddaughter, Zia. Siblings Phillip (Carolyn) Lujan, Jeanette (Chris) Thornburg, Tommie Duran, and Velma Ortiz. Sister-in-law: Loretta (Joseph) Baca. Numerous God-children, nieces, nephews, cousins and life-long friends.

Funeral service will be held on July 30, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with Father Rob Yaksich officiating. Services will be live streamed @ http://www.oloslasvegas.org Interment with full military honors will follow at 2:00 p.m.at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

Pallbearers honoring Joe will be: Justin Estrada, Gabriel Estrada, Jusiah Estrada, Luke Ortiz, Robert Duran, Floyd Duran and honorary pallbearers Marvin, Lawrence and Paul Lujan.
