Joseph Ernest Solano was called home on Saturday September 21, 2024. He was born in Pueblo, Colorado to Senobia Lovato and Librado Solano on August 7, 1949. He was married to Edwina (Lorraine) Gonzales for 9 lovely years. He served in the United States Army Quartermaster Corps for 2 years, ranked as Specialist 4.

Ernest was preceded in death by his parents Senobia Lovato and Librado Solano along with his beloved loyal pup, Pebbles. He is survived by his children Timmy, Cindy, Becky, Ernie Jr., Esperanza and Nancy. Stepchildren Juan and Dorene. Brothers and Sisters Rita, Vicky, Annabelle, Albert, Frank, Barbara and Margaret.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Edwina Lorraine Solano and his beloved children, aunts, uncles and numerous grandchildren.

Rosary services will be on Monday, September 30, 2024, at 6:00 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at 9:00 am with both services to be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, Las Vegas, NM. Burial will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM at 2:30 pm with full military honors.

Pallbearers are Ernest Solano, Jr., Mark Estrada, Timothy Solano, Michael Baca, Juan Valdez, and Albert Solano. Honorary Pallbearers are Frank Solano, Xavier Herrera, Chris Soveranez, and Leon Herrera.
