Our beloved Joshua Vigil became one of God's angels on December 31, 2021 at 17 years old. Joshua was known for his contagious, unique laugh and fun loving personality.  Joshua loved working with his dad, hanging out with his brothers, spending time and making memories with his family, playing football, his F350 truck, riding his dirt bike, and cooking for his mom. His passing comes just months before his high school graduation in May — something he was looking forward to.  His calling to eternal rest, has, and will forever leave a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and friends who became family.

Joshua Vigil is survived by his parents, Tony (Amanda) and Stephanie (Frank); brothers, James, Antonio, and Mickie; grandma Mabel Vigil; grandpa Steve Romero; aunts and uncles, Suzanne and Brian Lucero, Melissa and Lawrence Hernandez, and Florencio and Estelle Garcia; and cousins, Brittney (Oscar), Brian (Michelle), Caleb, Mica, Esmeralda, Luis, Marcus, and Michael, and numerous great uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandpa, Antonio Vigil Jr; and grandma, Jeanette (Garcia) Romero.

A rosary mass will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at the WLV Gym with refreshments to follow at the cafeteria. The funeral mass will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, January 13, 2022 at OLOS Church in Las Vegas with the burial to follow in El Pueblo, NM — a reception will take place after at the Ribera Community Center.

Serving as Pallbearers will be James, Antonio, Richard, Leroy, and Brian Vigil, Brian Lucero, Estevan and Damian Gallegos, Andres Acosta, and Josh Alderette.  Honorary Pallbearers will be the WLV Football Team and Roy Pacheco.
