Josie Gonzales, age 56, a resident of Las Vegas, NM passed away on August 10, 2016.She was born in Las Vegas, NM on January 27, 1960 to her parents Joe Ben Gonzales and Alice Gonzales. She is preceded in death by her baby daughter, father Joe Ben Gonzales, brother Gene Gonzales Nephew Ishmel Felix Gonzales. She is survived by her mother Alice Gonzales of the family home; brother & sister: Benjamin Gonzales (Barbara) & Barbara Saiz (Eloy) of Kansas; children: Estrella Padilla (Jerry), Sylvia Martinez (Matthew) , only son: Andrew Pino, grandchildren: Skii Valdez, Gina Josie Gonzales, Jasmin and Justin Padilla, Matthew Martinez Jr., Gabrella Faith Martinez; special friend: Missy Martinez and son Elijah, special tia: Glorinda & Max Quintana; numerous: other relatives and many friends .
She was always helping her mother and family with anything they needed. Josie had a big heart and full of joy and laughter. She would take her shirt off her back for anyone in need. Public viewing will be held at Rogers Mortuary Chapel on Monday, August 15, 2016 from 12:00 noon – 3:00 pm. Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM with Father Douglas Mitchell as celebrant. Interment will follow at the San Jose Cemetery with Casket Bearers, Andrew Pino, Matthew Martinez, Josh Tullos, Jerry Padilla, Carlos Martinez and Adrian Mares. Honorary bearers will be Eli Martinez, Benji Gonzales, max Quintana, Eloy Saiz and Melissa Martinez.
