After 67 years our family lost another pillar. Juan Apodaca went home on April 14, 2025. Juan spent 50 years of his life showing his excellent skills as a carpenter, specializing in cabinet making. His work could be seen from the city to the rural ranches of northern New Mexico. John enjoyed showing his skills to family that were willing to learn and for the past 20 years he was passing on his knowledge to Herman Armijo. Juan enjoyed going to the casino as well as many trips to Lowes and Home Depot with his sister Mabel.

Juan was born on October 19, 1957, in Wagon Mound, NM to Irene Chavez.

Juan was preceded in death by his mom Irene Chavez; Brother, Frank Mora Jr.; Sister, Patricia Martinez; Son, Abram Apodaca; Grandson, Damien Apodaca, and his special Niece Justice Ruiz.

Those left to cherish his memory are; Partner, Anita Branchal of the home; Sister, Mabel (Benny) Montoya of Wagon Mound, NM; Brother, Ernie (Mitzie) Peralta of Roswell, NM; Grandson, Dane Apodaca of Garden City, KS; and Special Son, Herman Armijo of Wagon Mound, NM. Juan also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. We will miss Juan's quick wit and sense of humor. He was our knight in shining armor, even though he never claimed this title.

Cremation has taken place and Juan will be laid to rest at later date at the Santa Clara Cemetery in Wagon Mound, NM.
