Juanita "Ida" Roper passed away on November 25, 2022 at the age of 93. She was the youngest and last surviving child of the late Luciano and Onofre Maes. She is preceded in death by son Ivan, husband Tony, her parents, eleven of her siblings. She is survived by her son Wayne and his wife Geri. Grandchildren: Delivan Roper and wife Laura, Brandon Roper and wife Consuelo, Brandie Storms, Brieanna Roper-Willis and husband Josh, Chris Tafoya, Cordy Tafoya, and fourteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by her in laws: John Roper, Jack & Terry Roper, Celso Lovato. Also surviving Ida are numerous nephews and nieces.

The Rosary and mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Gertrude Church in Mora, NM at 9:30 a.m. December 09, 2022 with Father Paul Grala S.O.L.T as celebrant.

Interment will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery in Cleveland, NM with the following serving as Pallbearers:  Chris Tafoya, Christopher Tafoya, Brandon Roper, Josh Willis, Mark Trujillo and Delivan Roper Honorary Pallbearers will be Jack Roper and Johnny Maes.
