Katrina "Kate" Immerman passed away peacefully on Friday, October 17, 2025, at the family home in Las Vegas, New Mexico. She was 80. Kate was born February 11, 1945, in Halberstadt, Germany. At the age of five, she left Europe with her family and came to the U.S.

In 1966, she received her nursing certificate from Utica College of Syracuse University. After relocating to Las Vegas with her husband, Michael, from many years in Albuquerque she served as the Director of Obstetrics and Surgery at Northeastern Regional Hospital and as a nurse at the New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute.

Kate was known for her warmth, laughter, generosity, and her love of gardening. A consummate host, her front porch in Las Vegas was a daily stop for friends and family.

She was committed to the Las Vegas Jewish community, serving on the boards of the Montefiore Cemetery and the Jewish Community Council.

Kate is survived by her husband Michael, her daughter Rachaal, and her son-in-law John.

A funeral service will be held at the Montefiore Cemetery in Las Vegas on November 9, 2025, at noon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Montefiore Cemetery in Katrina's name.
