Kimo Jose Mondragon 50, a resident of Forest Grove Oregon passed away in his home on Friday, February 10, 2023.

Kimo was born on March 28,1972 in Denver Colorado to Maria Schneider and James Young.

He was raised a Christian in Chacon New Mexico by his grandparents José Carlos and Antonia Mondragon. Kimo worked alongside grandpa to make sure they had wood for the harsh winters. Their home was full of family and so much love. "There's no cooking like grandmas's" he'd say.

Kimo moved to Oregon in the mid 90's. There he met Adriana Suarez, his wife/mother of his first born child, Moses Mondragon. His little family began 12/07/2001.

They lived in Oregon for a few years and moved to Chacon in 2006. There Kimo and Adriana gave birth to Tomas Mondragon, born on 5/08/2008, and Danielle Mondragon, born on 1/20/2010. The birth of their two younger children made their family complete. Lack of work and opportunity brought them back to Oregon in 2013. Kimo was able to secure a position with Pentagon EMS in Hillsboro, OR as a Sawyer which entails working with metal. He loved his job and was a hard worker. Even when home, he was either working or had projects going.

He worked creating small sculptures of metal, worked with wood and loved painting. He would give life to objects most of us would considered junk.

Kimo will be met in heaven by his grandparents José Carlos and Antonia Mondragon. His aunties Loretta Quinones, Annette Lucero and his cousin Lyzz Wilcox.

He is survived by his wife Adriana Suarez. His children Moses Arath Mondragon, Tomás Andres Mondragon, Danielle Mondragon. His mother Maria Schneider, father James Young, his siblings Shawn Mondragon, Shar Schneider, Duane Schneider and Jimmy Young, all of Denver Co. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins all of which he loved so much.

His wishes were to be laid to rest alongside his grandparents in Chacon NM. We're bringing you home.

Funeral Service will be conducted on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Tillford Memorial in Chacon, New Mexico.

Interment will be at the Mondragon Family Cemetery in Chacon, New Mexico following the service.
