Leroy Encinias, age 65, of Las Vegas, NM was born on January 12, 1958 to Evaristo and Sophia Encinias and passed away on September 24, 2023.

He is preceded in death by his father Evaristo Encinias, brother Robert Encinias, grandparents Luis and Maggie Gallegos and other aunts, uncles, nephew and cousins.

He is survived by his mother Sophia Encinias, 4 children Lorenzo Encinias, Mario Encinias (Samara), Leigh Chavez (Jimmy), and Angel Encinias. Sister Jennet Montoya (Richard), Annabelle Bryan (Craig), brothers Louie Encinias, Gene Encinias (Stella), Daniel Encinias (Lori), nephews/nieces, cousins and grandchildren.

Leroy was a life long resident of Las Vegas and attended West Las Vegas. He received his GED on January 17, 2003 and went on to study Social Work at NMHU where he graduated with his bachelor's degree in 2010. Leroy was self employed and worked as a mechanic and sold wood. He enjoyed working with horses, growing his own food and watching movies.

A rosary service will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 6:00pm and the funeral mass will be the following day on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 9:00 am. Burial of cremains will follow the mass at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
