It is with extreme sadness that we announce that our beloved Leroy Pacheco, age 70 of Las Vegas, NM passed away on Wednesday May 25th, 2022 in Albuquerque, NM. Leroy was surrounded by his family and friends.
Leroy is preceded in death by his parents Jose and Mercedes Pacheco, sisters, Betty Sandoval and Lydia Tafoya and brother Geno Pacheco.
Leroy is survived by his loving wife Tina Pacheco, daughters Debbie Coca (Bill), Leann Caldwell (Brad), Stepdaughter Danielle Martinez-Montoya (Senaida), Stepson Marcus Martinez. Grandsons Billy Coca, Bryan Coca, Isaac Ivans, Granddaughters Whitley Coca (Billy Ray), Kayley Caldwell, Jaide Caldwell, Raquel Martinez, Doriana Martinez, Andres Martinez, Alicia Martinez. Great grandchildren, Jayven Pier, Micah Pier, Keani Pier. Brother Johnny Pacheco, sisters Lena Cruz (Robert), Fran Aquirre (George). His Guadalupita children Andrew, Annette, Alyssa and Isaac Archuleta.
Leroy was born in La Cañada Bonita on January 24, 1952. He attended school in Ocate and Las Vegas, NM. He later moved to Cimarron where he resided for several years. He retired from the Angel Fire Resort after 33 years. Eventually he returned to Las Vegas with his wife Tina. He enjoyed camping, fishing, motorcycle riding, going on benefit runs and his favorite of all was dancing.
He loved doing remodel projects and spent the last years of his life fixing cars, building decks, siding and skirting mobile homes and various odd jobs. He enjoyed Friday night dates, whether it was going out for dinner, going to a casino, out for cocktails, karaoke and visiting with his many friends.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 6, 2022 at 10:00am at the First Baptist Church in Las Vegas, NM with Pastor Zac Teston as Officiant.
Interment will follow at the Masonic Cemetery in Las Vegas, NM with the following as Honorary Pallbearers Billy Coca, Bryan Coca, Isaac Ivans, Marcus Martinez, Andres Martinez, Jayven Pier, Micah Pier, Billy Ray Pier, Bill Coca Sr., Andrew Archuleta and Brad Caldwell.
