Lorenzo Gonzales, age 81, a longtime resident of Las Vegas, NM passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 in Las Vegas, NM surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 5, 1936 to Felix Gonzales and Josefina Giron in Las Gallinas, NM. Lorenzo lived most of his life in Las Vegas he was loved by many and commonly known as the Pepsi man. Lorenzo enjoyed talking and spending time with family and friends all of whom called him Gramps!  He is preceded in death by his parents: Felix and Josefina Gonzales; daughter: Cindy Trujillo; son: Lorenzo Gonzales Jr.; brother: Joe Ben Gonzales; sisters: Juanita Sanchez, Mariquita Sanchez, Mary Lopez and Lucy Padilla.  He is survived by his loving wife: Felecita Gonzales of the family home: daughter: Diana Encinias (Luis) of Las Vegas, NM; Son: Rudy L. Gonzales (Debi) of Alb. NM; grandchildren: Nadine Baca (Jesse), Lorenzo Encinias, Mario Encinias (Samara), Phyllis Valdez (John Jr), Rudy L. Gonzales Jr. (Felicia), Gilbert R.Gonzales and Leigh Encinias; great-grandchildren: Sasha, Inez, Marquezray, Amanda, Alexandria, Christopher, Mario Jr., Alana, Lorenzo, Max, Deanna and Emiliano; great-great-granddaughter: Mya Grace; brother: Ismael Gonzales (Sylvia) of Denver, CO and Felix Gonzales of Larmar, CO; sisters -in -law: Alice Gonzales, Clemenica Sanchez both of Las Vegas, NM; , Mabel Martinez of Tecolote, NM, Glorinda (Max) of Pecos, NM; brother-in-law: Sam Garcia (Charlene) of Georgia; Godchildren: Gilbert Gonzales of Alb. NM, Inez Solano,Phyllis Valdez both of Las Vegas, NM, Charise Denise Romero; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Public viewing Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 8:00 am – 12:00 noon at Rogers Chapel in Las Vegas, NM. Rosary will be Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 5:00 pm at Rogers Chapel in Las Vegas, NM, and second Rosary Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 7:00 pm at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM. Funeral mass will be Monday, June 25, 2018 at 9:00 am with Father Rob Yaksich as celebrant.  Interment will follow at Santo Nino Cemetery in Las Gallinas, NM, with the following serving as casket bearers, Mario Encinias, Rudy L Gonzales Jr., Gilbert Gonzales, Lorenzo Encinias, Inez Solano and Christopher Miera. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Amanda Miera, Sasha Gonzales and Alexandria Miera.
