On March 31, 2024, Resurrection day, our Lord took with him the heart and soul of our family, Louise Corine Blea. Mom, our lives will go on without you but it will not be the same. You did so many things for us, and now as parents ourselves, we truly understand the love of a caring mother.

Louise Corine Blea, born on March 4, 1929 in San Jose, New Mexico, passed away of natural causes on March 31, 2024. Louise was preceded in death by her husband Adolfo Blea, Jr. and her parents, Roman and Lucia Lopez of San Jose, New Mexico. She raised two sons Walter and Clarence, four daughters, Virginia aka Ginger, Linda, Gloria and Lucy, and looked after her ailing husband until he passed away. Her memory will be etched in our hearts, her children, ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren all of whom will miss her dearly. Louise was a caring person who never allowed anyone to leave her home with an empty stomach. Our mom was very protective and you always felt safe around her because she not only used her bra for what it was intended but to also carry a small pistol. She started each day in silent prayer followed by tuning into her local radio station KFUN. We knew that our mom enjoyed listening to and dancing to Spanish music while cleaning house. At night she would walk around her home praying and kissing each of her "santitos." Anyone visiting her home would notice every "santito" was smudged with pinkish-red lipstick. Throughout the day she would always ask our Lord for his guidance and to bless those who were in need. When we visited our mom no alarm was needed we woke up to the smell of fresh tortillas. Before leaving to return home she would bless us with "aqua bendita" and bless our cars for a safe journey.

Mom, thank you for the special years you gave to each of us. Although our God has taken you, you will never leave our hearts. It broke our hearts to loose you but you didn't go alone. You took a part of each of us when you went to heaven and one day we will be together again. Mom, the last time I saw you, I should have hugged you tighter and longer . . .

Rosary will be recited on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 9:00am funeral mass will follow rosary in her home parish San Jose Church  in San Jose, NM. Burial will be at a later date.
