It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lucy P. Lucero 75, a resident of Las Vegas, NM on January 11, 2024.

She is preceded in death by her parents Max and Pina Romero, brother Charlie Romero and sister Theresa Romero, father and mother-in-law Moises and Floripa Lucero, brother-in-law James Howden and sister-in-law Frances Lucero.

She is survived by her husband Moises Lucero, daughter Christine Romero (Robert), her son Albert Lucero (Megan), of Las Vegas her son Brandon Lucero (Kenneth) of Albuquerque, and her daughter Destiny Garcia (David) of Las Vegas. Her grand-children Emma and DJ. Her sisters Yolanda Garcia (Lupe) of El Oro, NM and Maryann Howden of Rio Rancho, NM. Her sister-in-law Christina Romero. Her sisters in law Neddie Romero (Mike) of Hobbs, NM. Isabel Lucero of Albuquerque, Nora Martinez and Prescilla Lucero of Las Vegas, NM her brother-in-law Fred Lucero (Melissa) of Las Vegas, NM and Richard Lucero (Karla) of Mora, NM. Special friends Johnny and Juanita Arguello and James and Lita Garcia, plus numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Rosary service will be conducted on Monday, January 22, 2024 at 6:00pm. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 9:00am both services will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM with Father Rob Yaksich as celebrant.

Cremation has taken place and burial of cremains will follow at San Jose Cemetery in Las Vegas, NM.
