Lucy Pacheco was born Maria Lucia Morales in 1926 to Jose and Serbana Morales. She passed from this world on Monday, June 24, 2024.

Lucy is survived by her husband of 76 years, Martin Pacheco; daughters, Belinda Laumbach (Gregorio), Rhita Pacheco Bax (Danny), and her son, Floyd Pacheco. Other survivors and pallbearers are her grandsons, Hank (Pauline) and Greg Martin (Angel) Laumbach, her great-grandchildren, Adam (Katelina) Santiago, Christen, and Aiden Laumbach. Honorary pallbearers are her great-great-grandchildren, Serbana, Tobias, Francisco, and Mario Laumbach. Survivors also include numerous nieces including special niece, Linda Morales, nephews, and God-children.

Lucy loved the children in her family and was very supportive of them. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, and cooking. She entered the workforce at a very young age and continued to work into her eighties.

Services are scheduled for Friday, July 5, 2024 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM with a Rosary at 8:30 am followed by mass of Christian Burial. Burial services will be in the family plot in Trujillo, NM at the Virgin Mary Shrine at the bottom of Corazon Hill. A reception will follow at the former San Isidro convent in Trujillo, NM.
