Makayla Vigil aka "KK", 15 years old, passed away unexpectedly on July 10, 2023 in Las Vegas, NM. She was born on May 22, 2008 to Jessie Vigil and Christina Urioste in Las Vegas, NM.

KK was a student at Robertson High School who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cruising, listening to music, watching movies, eating Takis and popcorn. We will truly miss her humor, her beautiful smile and hilarious facial expressions.

KK is preceded in death by her grandparents Antonio Vigil, Erenes Vigil, great grandparents, Dora and Arthur Gallegos, Secundina Urioste, Guadalupe Urioste, aunts and uncles, Susie Vigil, Nancy Vigil, Ray Vigil, Martin Gallegos, and step brother Cruz Gallegos.

She is survived by her parents Jessie Vigil (Marisol Vigil), Christina Urioste (Earl Romo); siblings, Iyisha and Joshua Vigil; grandparents Annette Gallegos (Darren Williams), and Gene Urioste; step-grand-parents, Manuel Gonzales, Nadine Salazar Ulibarri (Robert Ulibarri), and Rose Salazar (Johnny Salazar); aunts and uncles, Crystal Urioste (David Quintana), Fidel Vigil (Angie Vigil), Manuel Vigil (Helen Vigil), Mary Vigil, Johnny Vigil, Clarissa Ulibarri, Loretta Salazar (Archie Allemand), Cathy Salazar (Manny Maestas) and many cousins.

Rosary service will be at 6:00 pm on Monday, July 17, 2023, and funeral mass on Tuesday, July 18, 2023  at 9:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Las Vegas, NM with Fr. Rob Yaksich as celebrant.

Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers; Jessie Vigil, Josh Vigil, Jeremy Lovato, Dalphi Urioste, Sebastian Gallegos, Earl Romo and honorary pallbearer Antoinette Gallegos.
