Margaret "Margie" Padilla, 74 of Las Vegas, NM, has peacefully continued on her journey into the arms of our Lord, surrounded by loved ones on November 21, 2025.

Margie was born to Ventura "Ben" and Lucy Padilla in Las Vegas, New Mexico on July 20, 1951. She was a devout Catholic and a member of Immaculate Conception Parish. Margie loved to embroider and watch Little House on the Prairie. She was well known for her tortillas and her love of macaroni's. Her strength and perseverance were like no other. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend whose generosity knew no bounds. Margie was selfless and dedicated her life to her family. Her kindness and compassion touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ventura and Lucy Padilla and husband Adelaido "Lalo" Ortega and special niece Vanessa Lucy Lovato.

Margie is survived by her children, whom she loved dearly, Michael Padilla (Christy) of Las Vegas, NM and Michelle Padilla of Albuquerque, NM. Grandchildren Andrea Padilla, Michael Padilla (Valerie), Marcos Padilla, Briana Martinez, Robert Martinez(Alexandria), Vanessa Padilla (Miguel), Miranda Marquez and family, Audrey Padilla and family, and Dwight Padilla and family. Great-grandchildren whom she deeply cherished are Aiden, Julian, Avery, Aubrey Padilla, and Rylee Martinez. Special grand dog Bella.

A rosary will be recited at Immaculate Conception Church on Friday, December 5th, 2025, at 7:00 pm in Las Vegas, NM. A Funeral mass will be held at 9:00 am Saturday, December 6th, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas, NM. Interment to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Las Vegas, NM, with the following serving as urn bearers: Robert Martinez, Vanessa Padilla, and Aiden Padilla.
