She was born on January 16, 1947 to Daniel Romero and Rita Pacheco in Santa Fe, NM.

Margarita is survived by her husband: Cleofes Ortiz of the family home; children: Evelyn Tennant (Todd) of Grants, NM, Angela Romero and Ramona Romero both of Las Vegas, NM; brothers: Ernie Romero (Stella) and Lloyd Romero (Delmida) both of Santa Fe, NM; grandchildren: Antonio Lucero, Patrice Lucero (Jesus), Ashley Lucero, Emilio Romero, Frances Montoya, Frankie Romero (Kristen), Crystal Romero (Isaac) and Estrella Romero (Devon); 14 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her grandson: Danny Ray Pacheco and 6 siblings.
