Maria Theresa Trujillo, born in Watrous, NM January 12, 1947 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on March 3, 2023. After over 6 years of living mostly pain free and no major issues from kidney failure the Lord has taken her home. She is survived by her husband of 56 years Geronimo (Jerry) Trujillo. Sons Anthony Trujillo, Fernando Trujillo and wife Elicia Martinez, daughter Tania Osegueda and husband Manuel Osegueda. Stepson Gerald Trujillo and girlfriend Valerie Espinoza, and stepdaughter Denise Lucero and husband David Lucero. Granddaughters Daisy Ramos, Angelica Lucero, Melissa Caraballo, Jaileen Hilliard, Briana Trujillo, Tatiana Trujillo and Imarah Trujillo. Grandsons Dustin Hilliard, Daniel Lucero, Isaiah Trujillo and Aaron Trujillo. Great grandchildren Asher, Zaylee, Alayah, Jasper, Alyssa, Zachariah, Jordan, Ilija, Isaac, Serenity, Gabriel, Avianna, Christian, Caden and Cruse. Sisters Debbie Archuleta, Mattie Hall, Stella Garcia and brother Ignacio (Nacho) Archuleta. She is preceded in death by her parents Pedro and Lucy Archuleta. Brothers Adelaido (Lalo) Archuleta, Leo Archuleta, Celestino Ortiz, and Sister Adelina Martinez. She was a feisty woman full of charisma and love for her family. She was the life of the party, always telling jokes and loved to dance. She retired from the food service industry having worked at several places including the NM Behavioral Health Department, West Las Vegas Schools, and El Rialto Restaurant. She was well known in the community and anywhere she went someone always recognized and greeted her. Besides cooking in the industry she loved to cook for friends and family and welcomed anyone to a homemade meal. She loved reading, fishing, and gambling, but what she loved most were family gatherings. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She received prayer, last rites and blessing at home before her passing. To abide by her wishes there will be no services. The family will conduct a private burial at a later date.
