She married and raised her nine children in Arroyo Hondo and Black Lake. As a homemaker, she worked hard and diligent in caring for her family and working with her husband in his bookkeeping business in Taos and managing his bar in Black Lake well known as "Poor Boys Country Club." As a young woman, Marian worked in a Photo Shop, at a Dentist office and a cook for a hotel. First and foremost, she lived a Christian life until her last breath. She raised her family in the church and led her Godly life by example no matter what life brought to her doorstep. She cooked, baked, and sewed many clothes for her many children; she loved to crochet and made many afghan blankets for her children, grandchildren, her godchildren, and those who were special to her. Her love of God and life moved her every day, evidenced by her positive attitude, hard work, her singing and her laughter. Marian was a good and faithful servant to God and her family. She has left a lasting impression on those she knew and loved.
Her Funeral Rosary and Mass will take place at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Angel Fire. On Friday, July 17, 2026 at 10:00 AM, with interment to follow at Black Lake at the Family Cemetery.
