Martin "Marty"
Edward Lujan
August 11, 1970 – September 14, 2024
Martin Edward Lujan was born on August 11, 1970, but everyone Martin knew and encountered knew Martin as Marty. Our Lord loaned us Marty for 54 years, Marty left us on September 14, 2024. In the short span of time Marty was with us he had the characteristic of seeing good in everyone and considered everyone his personal friend. Marty was born in the city of Las Vegas, New Mexico here in San Miguel County. He attended school and graduated from the Las Vegas City Schools, he also attended New Mexico Highlands University and Luna Community College. Marty counted everyone as his best friend, and he had hundreds of best friends. Marty was a hard-working man who would never stop working, holding down two jobs working Monday through Monday. He was currently employed by New Mexico Highlands University where he worked in the science building and on weekends he would work at Leger's Package. Marty was concerned about his carbon footprint and was forever recycling various materials. He was frugal with his money except when he needed to add another Star Wars figure to his massive collection. His anticipation of adding another piece to his collection was amazing, he truly loved his collection, he would burn up his cellphone to find out when his new treasure would arrive of Star Wars figures. Marty never had a cruel word for anyone, all of Las Vegas were his friend.
He was a kind and loving person to all who came in contact with him. Marty was the type of man who touched the lives of many. He was a man who had a boundless amount of advice for anyone who would take his advice. He would always have a smile and gave his daily greetings to everyone he met. He was a loving father, one who would sacrifice all to ensure the security of his children. As everyone knows he was a large fan of Star Wars and Donald Trump
Marty is survived by his parents, Eddie Lujan and Erlinda Lujan, his brother Kevin Lujan, he had one son Martin Robert Lujan and one daughter Anissa Watkins. Marty had an extensive family that included many uncles, aunts, and cousins. Predeceased family members are his paternal grandparents Anastacio Lujan and Manuelita Lujan. His maternal family grandparents are Venerito Angel and Martina Angel. Marty had a special place in his heart for his girlfriend, Jasmine Juanita Valencia, her two children Vidal Marcos Valencia, and Marty's hijita, Alma Mia Bustillos.
Fly high Marty, our Lord is waiting for you, your worries are over and you will never suffer from your constant illnesses.
