Marvin Gilbert Martinez, age 68, a resident of La Cordillera, N.M. passed away February 14, 2026. He was born in Las Vegas, N.M. on June 29, 1957, to Nickolas and Mary Tita Martinez.

He is preceded in death by his mother: Mary Teodorita Martinez and His Father: Nick Martinez.

Marvin worked for many years at the Oil Fields in Wyoming. He also worked for his sister's business, Coyote Transport, for numerous years. He later worked for the Mora Independent Schools as a custodian, after his injury he became disabled. His number one hobby was fishing with his nephews and family in the mountains or lakes of Northern, N.M. He was known to hook himself with his own spinner, from time to time. He loved camping and bonfires. He will be missed and always loved by the ones that cared for him.

Cremation has taken place and rosary will be recited on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at 7:00pm, funeral mass will be on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 10:00am both services to be held at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Mora, NM. Burial of cremains will follow at San Isidro Cemetery in Holman, NM.
