Mary Flores, 92, of Las Vegas, N.M., passed away peacefully on March 21, 2022.

She was a devout Catholic, who attended mass regularly. She married Willie Flores Jr.,and together they had 5 children. Mary spent a lot of her time volunteering with the Special Olympics with her youngest daughter, traveling with the team for competitions. Mary was very strong-willed, but also a very loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She lived a full life, surrounded by lots of family and friends who loved her. She will be dearly missed and forever be in our hearts.

Mary Flores was preceded in death by her parents Ezequiel and Carlotta Martinez, husband Willie Flores Jr., sister Stella Lujan, brother Tony Martinez, daughter Colleen Soliz, brother's in-law Jerry and Manual Flores, and son-in-law Stan Ramirez.

She is survived by her children Cathy Ramirez, Steve Flores (Patricia), Greg Flores (Shelley), Kenny Flores (fiancé Maria), Frances Flores, and former daughter-in-law Jodi Hittle. Her children from out of state; Pete, Patty, Tony, and Gloria. Her niece Lorraine Romero and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place. Rosary services will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022 at 7:30pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 9:30am with both services to be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM with Father Rob Yaksich as Celebrant. Serving as Urn Bearers: grandchildren: Glenda Gonzales, Rachel Flores, and Jerry Flores. Honorary Urn Bearers, grandchildren: Kayla Flores, Santana Flores, Bjorn and Erica Atts, Kimberly Flores, Isa Flores, Troy Alvarez, and Salina Cameron.

Burial of cremains will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 9:00am at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
