Mary Helen "Patsy" Roybal passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, joining her beloved husband, Rumaldo Roybal, in heaven. Cared for and survived by her loving family, Patsy resided at her home on Montezuma St in Las Vegas, NM. She regularly recounted her earlier years attending the Immaculate Conception School, working for the Luna Community College and West Las Vegas Schools, enjoying vacations & family events, and recounting the memories of her lifelong bonds with her extended friends and family.  She and Rumaldo were the proud owners of South Pacific Auto Parts. In addition to caring for members of her family and her home, she was a regular attendee of Our Lady of Sorrows Church.

She was known to friends and family by many names including Maria, Mary, Patsy, and Patricia.  She is remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, auntie, and mother-in-law.  She was a dear friend to everyone she encountered.  Her compassionate demeanor and lively spirit were uplifting and infectious.

Among those preceding Patsy in death are her husband Rumaldo; parents, Luis and Luisa Gutierrez; beloved sisters, Angela Gonzales, Consuelo Trujillo, Carmen CdeBaca; her sisters-in-law Rebecca Roybal, Mary Louise "Tita" Rubio, and Maria "Cisco" Delgado; and grandson Raul Roybal Jr.

She is survived by her six children Ted (Jamesette) Roybal, Diane (Tommy Garcia) Estrada, Lisa (Dan Smith) Roybal, Raul Roybal, Kathy Roybal, and Jennifer (Donnie Weber) Roybal, eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her beloved grand-dog, Brody, the happy recipient of many morsels of tortilla with beans from Patsy's own hand.

A Rosary will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 6pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 9am with following serving as Pallbearers; Marcos Roybal (grandson), John Gonzales (nephew), Louie Trujillo (nephew), James Roybal (grandson), Gene CdeBaca (nephew), and Ruben Olivas (husband to granddaughter Devin Estrada Olivas).

Internment will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 2pm.
