Mary Elaine Salazar-Romero went to be with our Lord on Saturday, December 21, 2024.

She was born on July 10, 1952 to Frank Martinez and Pheobe Fresquez in Las Vegas, NM.

She is preceded in death by parents Frank Martinez and Pheobe Fresquez, her daughter Valerie Gallegos, brothers Bob (Wagon) Martinez, Mike Martinez, Donald Martinez, Frank Jr. Martinez, and sister Michelle Garcia.

She was known for her incredible personality, and her generous spirit. She was very quick witted and loved to laugh. Blessed with a true heart. She never held back on what was on her mind. You could talk to her about anything, and she would always give you an honest response. She dedicated her life to her family. Being the oldest sibling of seven, having five children of her own and raising two grandchildren. Being a mother was her calling. In her early years, she loved to cook, bake, camp, and to go fishing. She appreciated the company of family and friends. Everyone was always welcomed in her home. She had a soft heart for her pets. They were all considered her children as well. Always providing unwavering love and support. "I love you more!"

She is survived by her husband Sam Salazar, sister Yzetta Martinez, daughter Lailonnie husband Brian Nunn of Albuquerque, NM, Son John Romero (Stephanie Blake), Andrea (Raymond Tafoya), and Jesse Salazar of Las Vegas, NM.; 12 grandchildren, Kayla Romero, Justin Garcia, Andre Nunn of Albuquerque, NM, Sammy Garcia wife Anna of San Diego, CA, Marisa and husband Damian Delgado of Las Vegas, NM, Jackie and Giselle Romero of Las Vegas, NM, Sonny Ray Gallegos spouse Maddie of Las Vegas, NM, Christopher Padilla of Denver, CO, Nadia Padilla of Las Vegas, NM, Phoebe and Jesse Jonah Salazar of Las Vegas, NM.; 5 great grandchildren, Anastaisa Garcia of San Diego, CA, Eli Blaze Garcia, Ezra, Orlando and Bella Delgado of Las Vegas, NM

Service will be held at Rogers Mortuary Chapel on Monday, December 30, 2024, with viewing from 1:00 PM till 2:00 PM and Celebration of Life to follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Eddie Quintana as officiant. Interment will follow at the Church of Christ Cemetery with the following serving as Pallbearers; sons, John Romero and Jesse Salazar; grandchildren, Justin Garcia, Jackie Romero, Christopher Padilla and Sonny Ray Gallegos. Honorary Pallbearers are Nadia Padilla, Phoebe Salazar and Giselle Romero.
