Mary Angelina Vigil, 85, passed away peacefully at her home in Oregan City, Oregan on February 11, 2024. She was born on August 26, 1938 in Buena Vista, New Mexico to Fred Vigil and Annie Mascarenas.
Mary was a very loving, caring and giving person. You could always find her smiling, laughing or telling jokes. She worked at many business in Las Vegas during her early years of life. She worked at TG&Y, Kmart, Murphy's Drug Store, Ludi's Food Market and Plaza Drugs. One of Mary's passions was bowling with her friends. These ladies won various trophies and tournaments over the years. She also enjoyed crocheting, sewing, baking, cooking and most of all spending time with her family and loved ones. You could always find her working in her yard in the summer, planting flowers, pulling weeds or going on adventures with her sisters to the flea market and yard sales. Mary loved her family and will be truly missed by all. Mary was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred Vigil and Annie Mascarenas. Stepfather Roman Cordova, brothers Al Vigil and Arther Vigil, sisters Sarah Solis, Elvira Armijo and Antonia Rodriguez. She is survived by her sons – Steve Martinez (Elena), Donald Beck (Carmen) and daughter MaryAnn Martinez. Sister – Stella Rogers. Grandchildren, Annetra Herrera (Jude), Justin Gallegos, Corey (Jordan), Cameron and Daniel (Sofia) Beck. Great-grandchildren – Jadan and Denika Herrera and Elijah and Ella Beck. Godson- Brandon Rodriguez and many other nieces, nephews and special friends.
Cremation has taken place and a rosary devotional service will be conducted on April 20, 2024 at 2:00pm at Rogers Mortuary in Las Vegas, NM.
