Michael Archuleta, age 44 passed away on Tuesday August 7, 2018 in
Albuquerque, NM following an extended illness.  He was born on May 26,1974 in Las Vegas, NM.  He graduated from Robertson High School. He is preceded in death by his wife, Melissa Chavez-Archuleta, maternal grandparents Daniel, Elvira and Ramona Gurule, maternal aunt Joaquina
Gurule-Baca, paternal uncles Michael Archuleta, and Esequiel Montoya. He is survived by his parents George and Cecilia Archuleta, his
sister and brother in law Diana and Richard Arguello, his son Felix Archuleta, his grandson Kaspian Archuleta, his niece Danielle Aragon (Franchesca), his great niece, Amara Archuleta, his God son JustinGurule, and girlfriend Stephanie Burden.  He is also survived by
maternal aunts  Dora G. Martinez (Orlando, deceased), Josephine Harrison (Earl), Estella Ortega (Brigido), Leonor Tafoya (Richard,
deceased),  Mary Morales (Ray), maternal uncles Alfonzo Gurule and Gene Gurule (BonNet), aunt Judy Gurule, paternal uncle Sam Montoya
(Rose) and aunt Sally Baker (Bo), and numerous first cousins.
Throughout his life, Michael enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being in the mountains.  In his youth, he also enjoyed riding dirt bikes and
going out dancing with his friends and cousins. In his own way, he
was a comic and was able to make those around him laugh with subtle remarks, funny stories, and jokes.  He was social and knew a lot of
people and was very well-liked and fun to be around. He was a kind, quiet, and gentle soul who will be missed by his family and friends.
Pallbearers include Richard Arguello, Ernie Harrison, Daniel Harrison, Richard Tafoya, Gene Gurule Jr., and Paul O. Martinez.
Honorary Pallbearers include his numerous remaining first cousins. He was a Catholic and a member of Immaculate Conception Church.
Rosary for Michael will be held at Immaculate Conception Church on Monday night at 7:00 pm, and the funeral mass as well, will be held on
