Michael Geoffrion, age 64, passed away on January 17th, 2026, at his cherished home in Angel Fire, NM, surrounded by his loved ones. He was an incredibly hardworking and generous man who enjoyed life and had a keen sense of humor.
Born on June 15th, 1961, in Las Vegas, NM, Michael was one of five siblings and the only son of the late Artie Geoffrion and Irene Geoffrion. Michael was a graduate of Robertson High School. Following this, he pursued many different endeavors, including serving in the National Guard, a landscaper, a baseball coach, and a manager of several organizations, with his most recent being at Lowe's Supermarket. He was a man with many skills/talents, and he was successful in any enterprise he tried. In all his many roles throughout his life, he was loved by his friends, co-workers, and players.
He was an incredibly generous man and would help his loved ones without hesitation in any way he could. His work ethic was unparalleled, always putting forth his maximum effort. In everything he did, he did so with kindness and honesty. He was an incredibly skilled golfer and shared his love of the sport with his father, family, and friends. Michael was also an avid sports fan of the Cowboys and Yankees and enjoyed watching his teams with his sons.
He was a loving husband and father. He dedicated all he did to making a better life for his family. He was also a cherished son, brother, grandfather, and friend. He always offered his one-of-a-kind advice and added a witty quip to any conversation.
Michael is survived by his wife, Rita Ulibarri, sons Arthur Geoffrion (Martinika), Gerald Ulibarri (Christina), grandchildren Jaxon Geoffrion, Madison Geoffrion, Ava Ulibarri, Gerald Ulibarri Jr, his mother, Irene Geoffrion, sisters Geri Cassidy (Mark), Donna Vigil (Raul), Jacque Geoffrion (Eric), and Eileen Sedillo (Rick); special nephew and niece Jesus Martinez and Margaret Olguin, Godchildren Jason Cassidy and Therese Sedillo Hornsby and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He is preceded in death by his father, Artie Geoffrion, his grandparents, and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Rosary Vigil will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church on February 3rd at 6:30 pm, and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on February 4th at 10 am. This will be followed by internment at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Las Vegas, NM, with the following serving as urn bearers: Donald Guerin, Isaac Martinez, and Jesus Martinez. Though he will be deeply missed, his family and friends find comfort in their shared memories. May he rest in peace.
