Michael Vigil, age 48 passed away at his home on August 27, 2025 after a brief illness, he was born on August 23, 1977.

Michael worked for San Miguel County Public Works for 13 years before beginning his career as an over the road truck driver, where he enjoyed the challenges of the open road. On his free time he enjoyed spending time with his brothers on their motorcycle trips, welding projects or working around the ranch.

He is survived by his loving mother Mary Frances Vigil, his father Leopoldo Vigil and companion Maria Luz, his children Nicole, Paul and Samantha Vigil and their Mother Consuelo Martinez, his brothers Victor, Danny, and John and wife Bersabella Vigil. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Joe and Cleofas Salas, paternal grandparents Aurelio and Predicanda Vigil, Aunt Pauline Garcia, Niece Danielle Vigil and former in laws Robert and Carmen Gonzales.

Services will be conducted on Friday, September 19, 2025 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM beginning with a Rosary at 9:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian burial. Interment will follow at The Vigil Family Cemetery, in Apache Springs, NM with his nieces and nephews serving as Urn Bearers.
