Ninfa T. DeLaO, age 76, a resident of Las Vegas, NM passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on July 21, 1945 to Antonio Torrez and Catrina De Leon in Rio Hondo, TX.

Ninfa was a field worker and loved working Landscaping and enjoyed working with her late husband. She loved hearing Christian and Tejano Music. She loved hanging around to play Spanish bingo and also liked to play the slot machines. Ninfa was always praying for her children, grandchildren, other relatives and her friends. She enjoyed spending time with her entire family. She was an excellent Burrito and Tamale maker. We will miss her dearly.+

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Jim DeLaO, sons: Jesse and John T. DeLaO, daughter: Gloria Jaramillo, brother: Antonio Torres Jr., and granddaughter: Ida Lisa Rodriguez-DeLaO.

She is survived by her daughters: Mary D. Lucero (Charles), Norma Armijo (Anthony) and son: Joe DeLaO all of Las Vegas, NM; daughters: Christina DeLaO (Rene) of Lubbock, TX; and Roseanna Vigil  (Eliseo) of Las Vegas, NM; thirty-four grandchildren, sixty-three great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Enriqueta Martinez (Luciano), Maria Louisa Torres, San Juana Alaniz (Fernando) all of Snyder, TX; brother: Valerio Torres (Sylvia)  of Snyder, TX;  son-in-law: Leopoldo Jaramillo  Jr., of Las Vegas, NM; numerous other –in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral service will be held on May 20, 2022 at 10:00am at the Las Vegas Community Church 1022 2 ^nd Street in Las Vegas, NM with Pastor Gabriel Ortiz. Pallbearers will be following Billy Delao, Jamie Olivarez, A.J. Armijo, Steven Jaramillo, Isiah Ortega and Ricky DeLaO. Honorary will be the following Alicia Ortega and Leroy Vigil.

Cremation is to follow services and burial of cremains will be at a later date.
