Pablita Ortiz passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 2, 2025. She was born in San Jose, NM on March 12, 1939 to Tomas and Maria Padilla.
Pablita has been reunited with her beloved husband once again; She was a member of the Sacred Heart Society; She was full of life and laughter; She was a very strong woman; She enjoyed spending time with her family; She enjoyed cooking for her family; She was always ready to lend a helping hand when it was needed; Pablita loved going to the casino and she was very lucky at winning; She loved joking around with Maria; She and Len would love to give each other a hard time; She also loved reading to her great great grandchildren Addilyn and Robert Ortiz, whom she really adored. She was able to meet her latest great greet grandchild Laklynn. Pablita has left her family and all those who have known her with wonderful memories.
She is preceded in death by her husband Roberto Ortiz; parents Tomas and Maria Padilla; and nephew Brian Gallegos.
Pablita is survived by her son Gerald (Maria) Ortiz; Roberta (Len) Montoya; sister, Tommie (Danny) Gallegos; grandsons Gerald Robert Ortiz and Phillip Montoya; granddaughter Naomi Montoya; great grandsons, Gerald Anthony and Enriquez Ortiz; great great grandchildren Addilyn, Robert and Laklynn Ortiz; Brother-in-law Roman Ortiz and sisters-in-law Clara Gallegos and Ambrosia Ortiz; niece Amanda and nephew Andres Gallegos; other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Rosary services will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 9:30 am with the funeral services to follow with Father Vincent Dominguez as Celebrant at the San Jose Church in San Jose, NM. Interment will follow at the San Jose Cemetery with following serving as pallbearers: Gerald Robert Ortiz; Gerald Anthony Ortiz, Enriquez Ortiz, Amanda Gallegos, Andres Gallegos and Margarito Ulibarri Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Addilyn Ortiz, Robert Ortiz, Phillip Montoya, Jaime Ulibarri, Fabian Ramirez
