Patrick Allen Gonzales, 72, of Raton, NM, passed away peacefully in Las Vegas, NM, surrounded by this loving mother, sisters and family on October 30, 2024. He was born to Mary Louise Lucero and Esidro Gonzales in Raton New Mexico on January 12, 1952. Patrick lived a full life of passion, purpose, and service to others.
Throughout his life, Patrick attended elementary school in Glorieta, NM and at St. Patrick's Catholic School in Raton, NM. He graduated from Raton High School in 1972. After high school he lived and attended Denver Automotive Tech in Denver, CO, and started his career as an auto body repair man. He had a love for vintage cars and trucks and loved to help others paint and repair their oldie but goodie vehicles. He was employed at Cimino Brothers Ford for thirty years and continued to work in automotive until he fully retired in 2017. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and knowledge that he shared with everyone in his life. Patrick has left this world to continue protecting and watching over those he loved, just as he did in life.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Evangeline Cruz, father, Esidro R. Gonzales, and brother, LeRoy Gonzales.
Patrick is survived by his loving mother, Mary Louise Luna, sisters, Barbara Sandoval, Glenda Gonzales, Deborah Gonzales, and Donnalee Gonzales. His little brother Adam Luna and to include all his nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at New Mexico Cancer Center, Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center, and La Vida Buena for their kindness, compassion, and quality of care. And Krystal Dimas for assisting medical care during his last hour of life.
A rosary and mass will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024 starting at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Transport and burial will follow immediately for his final resting place at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Raton, New Mexico with the following serving as Pallbearers; Ruben Dimas, Rudy Dimas, Brandon Martinez, Will Gonzales, Art Cruz, and Marcus Romero.
