Paul R. Flores, 85, passed peacefully with loved ones by his side on Nov. 7, 2022. He was born in Las Vegas, NM on Feb. 15, 1937, to the late Juan Flores and Aurelia Trujillo. Paul was raised by his grandparents Manuel and Miquela Trujillo, and countless aunts and uncles which he cherished deeply. He was united in marriage to Lena Benavidez on May 8, 1961, and was a member of IC church.
Paul retired from the highway department in 1998. He joked that every day was Saturday now, and spent the rest of his life traveling with his wife and spending time with their children and grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Paul was proud to be a Las Vegas Resident, he was a die hard Robertson Cardinal fan, and an avid Storrie lake fisherman.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Juan F. and Aurelia T.; in-laws, Gonzalo and Lucy Benavidez; sister, Lucille Flores; grandson, Ernest Paul Vasquez.
He is survived by his loving wife Lena Flores; children, Mark Flores (Sandra), Paula Flores (John), Susan Flores, Veronica Sotres (Juan); Grandchildren, Tamara Chavarria (Angelica), Terry Vasquez, Ryan Chavarria (Angelica), Marissa Flores (Manuel), Marcos Flores, Santana Montoya, Dominic Montoya; great-grandchildren, Ernie Vasquez, Carter Chavarria, Zander Vasquez, Camden Chavarria; numerous nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.

Rosary will be at Immaculate Conception Church on Sunday, November, 13 ^th at 6pm. The funeral mass will be at Immaculate Conception on Monday, November, 14 ^th at 9am, with burial at Sociedad de San Antonio cemetery in Las Vegas, NM.

Serving as pallbearers: Tamara Chavarria, Terry Vasquez, Ryan Chavarria, Marissa Flores, Marcos Flores and Dominic Montoya.
