Paula Jean Jaramillo Maestas born January 3, 1988, a loving daughter, mother, sister, wife, and friend was called home to be with our Lord on October 12, 2024 following an extended illness.

Paula graduated from West Las Vegas High School and went on to work in the health care field as a CNA, she loved caring for people. It was one of her many passions. She loved cooking and having friends and family over. She also loved listening to New Mexico Spanish music and loved to laugh and have a good time. Paula and her husband were inseparable; wherever she was he was. She was also a survivor of Breast Cancer. She was such a sweet loving woman and always helped everyone she came across. She would give you the shirt off her back and was always there to listen and lend a shoulder to cry on. Her smile and laughter will be missed.

Paula is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Gloria Romero Jaramillo; grandparents, Jose and Jesusita Romero, Nicolas Sr. and Veronica Jaramillo; brothers, Ernest Jaramillo, and Raymond Jaramillo; sister, Robin Thurman and nephew, Jose "Whisper" Lucero along with other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is survived by her husband, Delfino "Fino" Maestas; daughters, Milagro and Marivella Jaramillo, her father, Leopoldo "Paul" Jaramillo (companion, Eva Vigil); brothers, Leopoldo "Polito" Jaramillo (companion, Margarete Hernandez), Adam (Roberta) Jaramillo; sisters, Veronica (Michael Arguello) Jaramillo, Pauline (Wilfred) Padilla; uncle, Charlie; aunts, Mary Jo, Lynette Romero, Josephine Pina Jaramillo, and other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Rosary and Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 starting at 8:30 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM. Cremation has taken place and interment will be at a later date.
