Pedro Leroy Lucero, 85, a lifetime resident of Las Vegas, New Mexico, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Rita Lucero; son, Abel Lucero; parents, Abel Lucero, Delfinio and Ramona Gonzales; siblings, Tony Lucero, Agnes Lucero and Tillie Dominguez; grandson, Johnathan Lucero and daughter-in-law, Cathy Lucero.
He is survived by his sons, Joe Lucero and wife Naomi, Mike Lucero and Carl Lucero; grandchildren, Billy Joe Lucero, Brandy Lucero, Kristen and Paul Ouma, Diego Lucero, Robert and Lindsey Loera, Jennae and William Baum, Curtis and Jamie Lucero, Dominic Lucero, Destiny Lucero and Austin Lucero; great grandchildren, Naleah Lucero, Elijah Lucero, Paul Jr. Ouma, Nehema Ouma and Nasir Ouma, Jaelynn Loera, Jade Loera, Jacey Loera and Jewel Loera and Logan Lucero; siblings, Margie Lucero, Evelyn Ortega, George Ortega, Eddie and Loretta Ortega and Barbara Gutierrez.
Rosary services will take place on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 6pm at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM. Funeral mass will be conducted on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 1:30 pm at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas, NM. Burial will follow mass at Mt. Calvary Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Billy Joe Lucero, Diego Lucero, Robert Loera, Curtis Lucero, Dominic Lucero and Austin Lucero Honorary Pallbearers: Brandy Lucero, Kristen Ouma, Jennae Baum and Destiny Lucero.
